Consecrated Life: Men and Women

Women and men who have professed the vows of poverty, chastity and obedience as a response to God’s call are named religious. Their call is always a call to be of service to the people of God and a sign of Christ’s love.

The diocese of San Jose is blessed to have women and men religious representing 43 Congregations serving in a variety of ministries, sharing their spirituality and living in a variety of communities.
