The Alumnae Associate is a full-time/part time position that reports to the Director of Advancement and is a member of the Advancement team. The Alumnae Associate is responsible for keeping Alumnae and Alumnae families engaged, informed and committed to the School. She develops and maintains a robust Alumnae program by stimulating interest, building loyalty, increasing involvement, and ultimately generating financial support for PHS. This position can be built out to full time for an individual who has fundraising experience.

Key areas of responsibility

1. The role provides leadership to the following Alumnae functions:

3. Engagement Programs and Events
4. Communication

Strategic Relationship Cultivation

1. Working closely with the Advancement Director, establish goals and strategies to increase Alumnae engagement and philanthropy.
2. Establish, build, and strengthen relationships with Alumnae locally, regionally, and nationally.
3. Support the Alumnae fundraising efforts in order to increase rate of alum giving to 10% (reunion/annual and individual/major)
4. Develop class captain program to support Alumnae engagement and reunion/annual giving efforts
5. Function as the liaison between the Council(s), LAMP and their activities and the school; evaluate and refresh the role(s) of the Alumnae councils
6. Develop strategies to involve current faculty/staff to help reengage Alumnae and donors
7. Attend events and interact with the school community to create a Culture of Philanthropy.
8. Update contact reports in Raiser’s Edge and reporting activity that describes cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship activities and help maintain up-to-date profile records for Alumnae in Raiser’s Edge.

Engagement Programs and Events

1. Working closely with the Advancement Director, develop a strategic Alumnae engagement plan that provides Alumnae opportunities to meaningful engage with fellow Alumnae and the school in order to energize the Alumnae community and identify and cultivate and steward potential Alumnae donors.
2. With volunteers, plan, organize, and attend all Alumnae engagement programs (reunions/reunion giving, professional networking, and other Alumnae events) both on campus and throughout the region.
3. Plan, organize and manage meaningful avenues for Alumnae participation in the life of the school (career day, student mentoring programs, athletics/arts, and speakers in the classrooms).
4. Coordinate the welcome to the Alumnae Network Program for Seniors
5. Work with Advancement Director to expand Alumnae recognition programs

Communication

1. Work with the Advancement and the Public Relations teams to develop an annual communications calendar to meet the following responsibilities
2. Produce the monthly Alumnae newsletter
3. Assist the Public Relations Director by identifying candidates for Alumnae news stories, and Alumnae profiles for the magazine, website and social media platforms; collect and edit class notes for the school magazine
4. Support the maintenance of the Alumnae portal of the school’s website
5. With the advancement team, coordinate correspondence with Alumnae on behalf of the school to celebrate and honor personal milestones

Schedule

In coordination with the Advancement Director, this position maintains regular/daily office hours and will require evening and weekend and summer hours as needed to supervise/host Alumnae events.
Requirements: (ie. education, good communication skills, evening/weekend hours, ability to lift 50 lbs.)
