As a part of Pope Francis’ call for a global Synod on Synodality, dioceses around the world were encouraged to gather feedback from their local communities. Thank you to those who participated/hosted listening sessions at our local parishes, schools and community groups for Synod on Synodality earlier this year. Your voices were collected, reviewed by Bishop Cantú, and sent in a 10-page report to the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops in preparation for the Synod of Bishops in Rome in October 2023.

Learnings from the universal synod listening sessions will inform our Diocesan Synod process, where we seek to spiritually and structurally renew our local church at all levels. We look forward to robust participation in our Diocesan Synod process this fall and winter!
