Two Sisters of the Presentation (who are also biological sisters) both died in April.

Sister Maryann Healy, PBVM, (religious name Sister Mary Eugenia) entered eternal life on April 4 at the Presentation Motherhouse in San Francisco. A native of San Francisco, California, Sister Maryann was born in December 11, 1919.

From 1940 to 1980 she taught grades one through nine in Presentation schools in the Archdiocese of San Francisco, the Diocese of San Jose, the Diocese of Oakland and the Archdiocese of Los Angeles.

Sister Kathleen Healy, PBVM, (religious name Sister Mary Daniel) entered eternal life on April 21 at the Presentation Motherhouse in San Francisco. A native of San Francisco, California, Sister Kathleen was born in January 13, 1926.

In 1946 Sister Kathleen began 28 years teaching in Catholic schools in the Archdiocese of San Francisco, Diocese of San Jose and the Archdiocese of Los Angeles.

During 80s, she was involved in the Sanctuary Movement and the Bay Area Organizing Committee. She joined several delegations to El Salvador and Guatemala to support the people of those countries in their struggles for justice.
