Saint Cyprian Parish

Shift: Work will be performed in the afternoon or evening most days including on weekends.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate assigned church events and activities, including scheduling, logistics, and communication with volunteers.
  • Schedule liturgical and pastoral lay ministers monthly; and be willing to cover for them if not available.
  • Develop training materials for parish volunteers, and other parish documents as needed.
  • Occasionally conduct volunteers training and rehearsal for some liturgical celebrations (quinceañera, wedding,etc)
  • Support pastoral staff and ministry leaders with administrative needs as required.
  • Assist in the preparation of church publications, bulletins, newsletters, and other communications as assigned by the Pastor.
  • Maintain the Parish website content up to date.
  • Respond to the inquiries and concerns of Spanish-speaking parishioners and direct them to the appropriate personnel for their needs.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Pastor.

 Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of the teachings and traditions of the Roman Catholic faith a plus.
  • High school diploma or equivalent, Associate’s or more advanced degree preferred.
  • Familiarity with Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Calendar) and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • High level of proficiency with virtual meeting technology (Zoom, Teams, etc.)
  • Bilingual in Spanish, a must.
  • Clear written and oral communication.
  • Welcoming personality.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • An openness to new ideas and ways of doing things, along with a willingness to share ideas with parish leadership and staff to improve the operation.
  • Ability to multi-task with attention to detail.
  • Willingness to work cooperatively with others.

Physical Demands: The position requires extended periods of sitting, working at a computer, being able to move about in an office setting, and occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.

Part-Time (up to 20 hours per week)

Salary: $21.00 -$30.90/ hour
