St. Elizabeth Seton School

St. Elizabeth Seton School is looking for a Long-term Substitute teacher to be the k-8th grade teacher. The ideal candidate will have prior experience teaching and a passion for creating a nurturing, engaging learning environment.

Responsibilities include:

Developing and implementing lesson plans that support student growth and learning

Grading student work and posting grades in Educate

Communicating regularly with families through weekly newsletters

Collaborating with colleagues and supporting the school’s mission and values

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience teaching Kindergarten-8th Grade

Valid teaching credential (preferred)

Strong communication and organizational skills

Hours are from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM

Salary Range: Substitute compensation is consistent across all schools (see chart of daily rates)

Short-Term daily rate Long-Term daily rate
Full Day: DSJ-retired teacher $ 250  $      300
Full Day: all others $ 225
Minimum Day: DSJ-retired teacher $ 167  $      200
Minimum Day: all others $ 150
