Cristo Rey San José Jesuit High School
CRSJ VISION
Through a culture of joyful learning, Cristo Rey San José celebrates and develops students’ unique gifts as they encounter God’s love and become leaders who shape society with and for others.
CRSJ MISSION
Cristo Rey San José is a Jesuit, Catholic college-prep high school where students of any faith commit to a rigorous curriculum and professional work experience. Students realize their inherent potential and prepare to complete a post-secondary education that will set them on a path toward a sustainable, fulfilling future. Through the Ignatian charism of cura personalis, students facing barriers to opportunity become leaders filled with passion, purpose, confidence, and conscience.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Director of Marketing & Communications is responsible for building and executing a comprehensive, mission-driven marketing strategy that elevates Cristo Rey San José’s visibility, reputation, and impact across Silicon Valley and beyond. Serving as the school’s chief brand steward and marketing leader, the Director develops integrated marketing strategies that advance Advancement goals, attract and engage Corporate Work Study Program (CWSP) partners, drive enrollment, deepen donor engagement, and powerfully communicate the transformative outcomes of a CRSJ education. The Director builds the plan and delivers it, setting institutional marketing strategy one moment and writing a caption, updating the website, or photographing a student event the next. The Director is the strategist, storyteller, designer, analyst, and executor. The Director brings both creative vision and analytical discipline—translating institutional priorities into compelling stories and measurable campaigns across digital, print, and media channels. The ideal candidate thrives in this dual role—equally energized by big-picture thinking and getting things done—and finds deep meaning in doing both in service of a mission they believe in.
