The Age of Mary: Mary’s Triumph” Marian Conference

On September 6 and 7, 2019, join the parishioners of Our Lady of Peace Church in welcoming both Fr. Donald Calloway, MIC and Monsignor Eduardo Chavez, who will be speaking at this year’s Marian Conference in Santa Clara, California. This conference is scheduled to coincide with the annual “Mary, Mother of God” Exhibit and the shrine’s celebration of the Nativity of Mary. Attendees of the conference will experience a revitalization of their devotion to Mary.
Father Calloway and Msgr. Chavez joins an abundance of saints over the past millennia in appreciating and praising our Lady and her apparitions in what can be considered still the Age of Mary. Attendees of the conference will be guided into a revitalization of their own devotion to Mary and experience her Triumph.

About Fr. Donald Calloway
Fr. Donald Calloway, MIC, born in 1972 in Dearborn, Michigan, is a convert to Catholicism and is now a prominent Marian priest with the Congregation of Marian Fathers of the Immaculate Conception of the Most Blessed Virgin Mary. This congregation is totally consecrated to Mary Immaculate, faithful to authentic Church teaching, obedient to the Pope and Magisterium, and intensely Eucharistic. He speaks passionately in his moving conversion story from high school dropout who had been kicked out of a foreign country, institutionalized twice, and thrown in jail multiple times to earning a B.A. in Philosophy and Theology from Franciscan University of Steubenville, M.Div. and S.T.B. degrees from the Dominican House of Studies in D.C. and an S.T.L. in Mariology from the International Marian Research Institute in Dayton, Ohio.
Fr. Calloway’s unmistakable zeal for the priesthood and devotion to Our Lady as led him to author or edit many articles and books on the Blessed Virgin Mary and he travels throughout the country to talk about his favorite saint and devotion (the Rosary).
About Msgr. Eduardo Chavez
Msgr. Eduardo Chávez Sánchez is co-founder and rector of the Institute for Guadalupan Studies, and is a canon of the Basilica of Guadalupe. Born in Mexico City, he studied philosophy and theology in the Institute for Ecclesiastical Studies at Mexico’s Conciliar Seminary. He was ordained in 1981, in the Archdiocese of Mexico. He holds a diploma in philosophy from the Universidad del Valle de Atemajac in Guadalajara and, a doctorate in Church history from the Pontifical Gregorian University.
In 2001 he was appointed postulator for the cause of Saint Juan Diego, who was canonized on July 31, 2002. Msgr. Chávez was also general secretary for Pope John Paul II’s visit to Mexico. Msgr. Chávez has made many contributions to the study of the Guadalupan event, addressing major academic institutions internationally and publishing more than 28 books and articles. In the book, “Our Lady of Guadalupe Mother of the Civilization of Love, co-authored with Carl A. Anderson (Knights of Columbus), he traces the history of Our Lady of Guadalupe from the sixteenth century to the present and how her message was and continues to be an important catalyst for religious and cultural transformation.
