Pasta Feed Benefit Homeless Support Action Team
April 27 @ 6:30 pm - 9:00 pm
Our Annual Pasta feed benefits our Homeless Support Action Team. Social ministry at St. Thomas of Canterbury is a sharing in the mission of Jesus: To bring glad tidings to the poor, to heal the broken-hearted, to welcome strangers. Our social ministry team sponsors events that bring our parish together and programs that reach out to those around us.
For example, HSAT makes sandwiches on a weekly basis, provides dinner twice a year to the Catholic Charities child refugee program, supports hospitality here in the parish and welcomes our safe car park guests. We join in fellowship with our Muslim and Jewish neighbors and people of all faiths. We support the parish door ministry to people who come asking for help and we assemble single use laundry soap packages for shelters and blessing bags for parishioners to take out and distribute to those in need. Our weekly bulletin column lets parishioners know what’s happening and how they can help.
