The Dominican Sisters of Mission San Jose’s Center for Education & Spirituality to host a presentation: Junipero Serra—Saint and Sinner, 10am-2pm July 25, 2015, Auditorium. Join us as our presenters Andrew Galvan and Vincent Median offer different opinions on the canonization of Junipero Serra.

Andrew Galvan and Vincent Medina, Jr., are cousins, Ohlone Mission Indians and Catholics who work at Mission Dolores in San Francisco. They trace their ancestry to Ohlone Indians at Mission Dolores in the 1790s. Their contrasting views on Junipero Serra have been reported in the Los Angeles Times, New York Times, Catholic Voice, San Jose Mercury News and SF Weekly.
