Junipero Serra: California, Indians, and the Transformation of a Missionary

October 3, 2015 @ 7:00 pm

Have questions about Junipero Serra and the California missions? Here in Santa Clara we are fortunate to have two of the leading experts and scholars of both California history and Blessed Junipero Serra, who Pope Francis will be canonizing on September 23rd.

Santa Clara University Professors Robert Senkewicz and his wife Rose Marie Beebe will have just returned from the canonization in Washington DC and have graciously offered to give us a presentation on Junipero Serra and the missions, as well as sharing some slides from their experience at the canonization.

Copies of their book will also be available for purchase and signing. This event is free and open to the public, please share with anyone you know who would be interested in learning more about Blessed Serra and the history of the California missions!
