The Intercultural Church and the Arts

June 12, 2017 @ 10:00 am - June 14, 2017 @ 3:30 pm

resented by Eduardo Fernandez, SJ, STD
From the very beginning of Christianity, the arts have played a key role in both enabling worship and also serving as a vehicle for translating the Gospel message to diverse cultures. This workshop explores the various functions of religious art in general, together with some specific examples from various parts of the globe towards a greater appreciation of how these embody the mystery and reveal to us the grandeur of a God who is not only one but three. Participants will be invited to reflect and share the role of the arts throughout their spiritual journey. Cost $250 CEUs available.
