The Cor Seminar with Christopher West: God, Sex, & the Meaning of Life
August 5, 2017 @ 9:00 am - 4:00 pm
The Cor Seminar–Live! is based on Christopher West’s latest book Fill These Hearts: God, Sex, and the Universal Longing. It is the fruit of two decades of his searching for the best way to introduce people to the life-changing vision of John Paul II’s Theology of the Body.
“Cor” is Latin for heart. Through a creative blending of live music from musicians Mike Mangione and Jason Clark, film clips, and Christopher’s dynamic presentation, the Cor Seminar–Live! will take participants on an exhilarating journey into the “cor” of God’s plan for human life, love, marriage, and sexuality – and, through that, into the Mystery at the “cor” of, well, everything…
Pre-registration for this event is required, $25 if you register before July 30th, $35 after – includes The Cor Seminar workbook – online registration available at olopgiftshop.com
As founder and president of The Cor Project, Christopher leads an international outreach devoted to spreading this liberating teaching and empowering others to learn, live, and share it. His work has been featured in The New York Times, on ABC News, Fox News, MSNBC, and countless Catholic and Evangelical media
Beyond his work as a popularizer of the Theology of the Body, Christopher has been teaching graduate and undergraduate courses on the subject since the late 1990s, having served on the faculties of St. John Vianney Theological Seminary in Denver, the Institute for Priestly Formation in Omaha, and as a visiting
professor of the John Paul II Institute in Melbourne, Australia. In 2004, he helped establish the Theology of the Body Institute near Philadelphia, Pa., and serves today as Senior Lecturer of Theology and Christian Anthropology. His weeklong courses there continue to draw students from around the world.
Among Christopher’s best-selling books are Theology of the Body for Beginners, Good News About Sex & Marriage, At the Heart of the Gospel and Fill These Hearts. His latest book is Pope Francis To Go: Bite-Sized Morsels from The Joy of the Gospel, which uses Pope Francis’s apostolic exhortation The Joy of the Gospel, Scripture, the Catechism of the Catholic Church, the writings of saints and other popes, and his own theology of the body-infused works to present 150-bite-sized morsels of wisdom from Pope Francis that map out the “Way of Beauty” that is at the heart of the New Evangelization.
