Mark your Calendars – Award Winning Author and Educator Francisco Jiménez is coming to Seton School!
Wednesday, October 30th, 6:00- 8:30PM

Professor Francisco Jiménez, emigrated with his family from Tlaquepaque, Mexico to California and as a child worked alongside his parents in the fields of California. With no English and a fear of being sent back to Mexico, his books beautifully unfold his inspiring and thought-provoking journey. Although the stories in his book are set in the 1940s and 1950s, many of the issues are still relevant today.

Francisco is currently a professor at Santa Clara University. His son Miguel Jiménez will interview him on stage in the school’s auditorium. The evening will begin at 6:00PM with a welcoming wine reception to include heavy hors d’oeuvres and an opportunity to take a student led tour of the school. To be followed at 7:15PM by a conversation on stage with Francisco and his son Miguel Jiménez.
