Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
Thank you for your faithful commitment to our diocese and the Church’s mission. Over the past year, my hope is that you have been united in prayer and have had the opportunity to participate in our Diocesan Synod in preparation for our diocese’s 50th Jubilee. The Synod is an opportunity for us to encounter, listen, and discern our future together.
Our mission as a diocese is to proclaim the truth of the Gospel in the Santa Clara Valley with tenderness, beauty, and love, so that people’s lives may be transformed as they come to know and love the One True God and his Son, Jesus Christ. “Supporting Our Mission Together” by giving to the Annual Diocesan Appeal allows us to serve the people in our diocese by contributing essential support for our parishes, providing hope and healing for those in need, and strengthening families, faith, religious vocations, and formation for future generations.
I invite you to prayerfully reflect on the many blessings the Lord has bestowed on you through his Church. Ask yourself, “How can I repay the Lord for all the great good done for me?” (Psalm 116:12) and prayerfully consider how you may be able to support the Church’s mission through a gift to the Annual Diocesan Appeal.
As we continue our journey “Supporting our Mission Together,” I would also like to invite you to join me in prayer by praying the Rosary as a family for the fruits of our Diocesan Synod and Annual Diocesan Appeal.
Thank you for your generosity and support which allow us to share the message of the transforming love of Jesus Christ throughout Santa Clara Valley.

Queridos hermanos y hermanas en Cristo,
Gracias por su fiel compromiso con nuestra diócesis y la misión de la Iglesia. Tengo la esperanza que durante el año anterior se hayan unido en oración y hayan tenido la oportunidad de participar en nuestro Sínodo Diocesano 2023 en preparación para el 50º Jubileo de nuestra diócesis. El Sínodo es una oportunidad para que nos encontremos, escuchemos y discernamos nuestro futuro juntos.
Nuestra misión como diócesis es proclamar la verdad del Evangelio en el Valle de Santa Clara con compasión, belleza y amor, para que las vidas de las personas puedan ser transformadas a medida que llegan a conocer y amar la presencia real de Cristo en la Eucaristía. “Apoyando nuestra misión juntos” al participar en la Campaña Diocesana Anual nos permite servir a las personas en nuestra diócesis contribuyendo con apoyo esencial para nuestras parroquias, brindando esperanza y sanación a los necesitados, y fortaleciendo a las familias, la fe, las vocaciones religiosas y la formación para las futuras generaciones.
Los invito a reflexionar con espíritu de oración sobre las muchas bendiciones que el Señor les ha otorgado por medio de su Iglesia. Pregúntense: “¿Cómo puedo retribuir al Señor por todo el gran bien hecho por mí?” (Salmo 116:12) y en oración considere ¿Cómo puede apoyar la misión de la Iglesia a través de un regalo a la Campaña Diocesana Anual?
Mientras continuamos nuestro caminar “Apoyando juntos a nuestra misión”, también me gustaría invitarlos a unirse a mí en oración rezando el rosario como familia por los frutos de nuestro Sínodo Diocesano 2023 y la Campaña Diocesana Anual.
Gracias por su generosidad y apoyo que nos permiten compartir el mensaje del amor transformador de Jesucristo en todo el condado de Santa Clara.

Anh Chị Em thân mến trong Chúa Kitô,
Tôi xin cảm ơn anh chị em về lòng tận tuỵ dành cho Giáo phận và sứ mệnh của Giáo hội. Trong năm qua, tôi hy vọng anh chị em đã cùng hiệp nhất trong lời cầu nguyện và có cơ hội tham gia Công nghị Giáo phận để chuẩn bị mừng 50 Năm thành lập Giáo phận. Công nghị này là cơ hội để chúng ta cùng nhau gặp gỡ, lắng nghe và phân định tương lai.
Sứ mạng của Giáo phận chúng ta là công bố chân lý Tin mừng nơi Thung lũng Santa Clara với lòng nhân hậu, thiện mỹ và tình yêu, để cuộc sống con người được biến đổi nhờ nhận biết và yêu mến Thiên Chúa Chân thật Duy nhất và Con Một của Người là Đức Giêsu Kitô. Việc “Cùng nhau Hỗ trợ Sứ mạng” qua chương trình Quyên góp Hằng năm của Giáo phận giúp chúng ta phục vụ nhiều người trong giáo phận, bằng những hỗ trợ thiết yếu cho các giáo xứ, mang lại hy vọng và sự chữa lành cho những người có nhu cầu, thăng tiến gia đình, cũng như củng cố đức tin, cổ võ ơn gọi tu trì và việc đào tạo các thế hệ tương lai.
Tôi mời gọi anh chị em suy nghĩ về những ơn lành Chúa đã ban qua Giáo hội của Người. Hãy tự hỏi bản thân, “Tôi biết lấy chi đền đáp Chúa bây giờ về mọi ơn lành Người đã ban cho?” (Thánh vịnh 116: 12) và xem coi mình có thể hỗ trợ sứ mạng của Giáo hội như thế nào qua chương trình Quyên góp Hàng năm.
Khi chúng ta tiếp tục cuộc hành trình “Cùng nhau Hỗ trợ Sứ mạng,” tôi cũng xin mời anh chị em cùng tôi tham gia lần hạt Mân côi như một gia đình, cầu nguyện cho thành quả của Công nghị Giáo phận và chương trình Quyên góp Hàng năm.
Xin cảm ơn lòng quảng đại và sự hỗ trợ của anh chị em, qua đó chúng ta chia sẻ sứ điệp tình yêu có sức biến đổi đời sống của Chúa Giêsu Kitô trong Santa Clara County.
