He holds a Master of Arts degree in Religious Studies from Mount St. Mary’s College in Los Angeles. Tom served as editor and author for Leadership for Catholic Youth Ministry (Twenty-Third Publications)\, Effective Practices for Dynamic Youth Ministry (Saint Mary’s Press)\, and Ministry Resources for Prayer and Worship (Saint Mary’s Press). Tom was also the General Editor for Call to Faith-A Thematic Approach to Young Adolescent Catechesis (Harcourt Religion Publishers). Tom is the 2006 recipient of the National Catholic Youth Ministry Award for National Leadership.

DESCRIPTION:Cumpliendo con el Estatuto para la Protección de Niños y Jóvenes\,   la Diócesis de San Jose exige el entrenamiento en el Ambiente Seguro y la Conducta Sexual para cada miembro del personal diocesano: sacerdotes\,   diáconos\, agentes de pastoral\, maestros\, directores de escuelas\, empleados laicos\, y voluntarios. Este entrenamiento es una condición de empleo y debe ser completado por los empleados nuevos dentro de seis meses después de su alquiler. El entrenamiento es válido para tres años. Los voluntarios\,   tanto como aquellos empleados quienes necesitan certificar de nuevo su entrenamiento\, tienen la opción de completar el entrenamiento por medio de asistir a un taller en vivo o tomar el entrenamiento en línea en www.shieldthevulnerable.org. A los empleados nuevos se les requiere asistir a la presentación en vivo de Ambiente Seguro y Entrenamiento Sobre la Conducta Sexual.\nSe requiere hacer una reservación para el taller.
