DESCRIPTION:The 46th Annual 8-mile Pro-Life Prayer Walk will be on Good Friday\, April 15th. It will start at 7:45am at St. Martin of Tours Church in San Jose and end at Our Lady of Peace Church in Santa Clara around 12pm.\nThere will be a sag wagon for assistance and there will be one rest stop with restrooms. A penitential meal will be served at the end and transportation will be provided back to St. Martin of Tours. Bring a Rosary\, a Pro-Life sign\, and a friend!

The talk will be relevant for those who are dating or discerning whether they are called to married life\, as well as engaged and married couples who wish to enrich the sacramental aspect of their relationship.\nWe are pleased to welcome 3 wonderful guest speakers for our discussion. First\, Father Joe Kim\, Director of Vocations and Evangelization for the Diocese of San Jose. Fr Joe has been part of the diocesan effort to address the changing demographics of our diocese\, especially with respect to the young people in the Catholic Church. We also welcome Paul & Stephanie Francois. In addition to serving at their parish (Holy Spirit)\, they also serve the larger Church in Marriage Ministry as a presenting team for Worldwide Marriage Encounter\, Marriage Preparation\, and as volunteers at Sacred Heart Community Service. Paul & Stephanie currently serve as the coordinators for training all new presenting team couples and priests for Marriage Encounter in the United States and Canada. They met at Santa Clara University\, were married in the Mission Church in 1986 and have two young adult children.\nPlease help us spread the word for this event!\nSchedule:\nGather & Refreshments: 7-7:30pm\nTalk & Discussion: 7:30-8:30pm\nThe talk will end at 8:30pm\, but you are invited to remain for additional fellowship from 8:30-9pm. DESCRIPTION:Come hear Thomas Awiapo’s inspiring story of survival and success. Orphaned before the age of 10\,   Thomas survived bleak poverty and hunger in his small African village in Ghana. At age 12\,   his search for food led him to a school where Catholic Relief Services (CRS) – with funds contributed through the CRS Rice Bowl program – was providing lunch. \nBecause of this food\, Thomas survived and continued school\, earning a master’s degree. Today\, Thomas works for CRS and trains community leaders throughout Ghana. DESCRIPTION:Once again\,   we are gathering to celebrate the Annual Layette Celebration\, Sunday\, December 8\, 2013 at 3:00p.m. at St. Martin of Tours\,   200 O’Connor Drive\, San Jose\, CA 95128. This year the event will include “high tea” and begin later. The hall will be open by 2:00p.m. for dropping off layettes or to set up your table (do not arrive before 2:00pm). The purpose of this event is to gather infant clothing and other baby items to help those families in need. Many people express their interest in helping by attending the event\,   by providing new items for the layettes\, or by donating money to the layette fund. Perhaps your RCIA groups\, Small Christian Communities\, parish school groups\, social justice or pro-life committees\, or youth groups would be interested in coordinating such an activity.
