DESCRIPTION:Mgsr. Craig Harrison will be speaking at Transfiguration Church in\nSan Jose on Tuesday\, December 13\, at 7:00 PM. Mgsr. Harrison was\nawarded the Mother Teresa Award at the recent Italian Catholic Federation\nnational convention in Fresno. His talk is entitled “Our Advent Spiritual\nJourney–Slow Down\, Simplify and Sanctify.”\nMgsr. Harrison\, pastor of St. Francis of Assisi parish in Bakersfield\, is an\nadoptive father of eight children and nineteen grandchildren! Besides the\nMother Teresa award\, he’s the recipient of many other awards including the\nBishops’ Award for Catholic Charities\, Plank Foundation Humanitarian of the Year\,\nNCEA Distinguished Pastor\, and Leukemia Society Man of the Year. He’s also\nthe author of “Angel Girl.” He graduated from UCLA with a degree in Business\nand Economics with a minor in psychology. He received his Master’s Degree of\nDivinity from St. John’s Seminary in Camarillo and was ordained in 1987.\nFr. Craig’s talks are filled not only with humor but human examples of how we\ncan draw closer to Jesus during this Advent season. There will be time for questions\nand discussion.
