Catholic Social Teaching is woven through CRS Rice Bowl so that, as we learn about the world and its challenges, we also reflect on our faith response. This is one of the unique features of this Lenten program for Catholics.

CRS Rice Bowl and CRS Collection FAQs
CRS Rice Bowl donations: Seventy-five percent of CRS Rice Bowl donations come to CRS to help fund development programs designed to help individuals, families and communities in the developing world. Twenty-five percent of the donations support hunger and poverty alleviation efforts within our diocese.
CRS collection: This national collection (also during Lent) provides funding for CRS, along with the USCCB Department of Justice, Peace and Human Development, the Holy Father’s fund for relief work around the world, CLINIC, the USCCB’s Secretariat of Cultural Diversity in the Church, and USCCB’s Migration and Refugee Services.
