Position Description:
There are openings for full-time teaching positions at St. John Vianney Catholic School in the Diocese of San Jose for the 2022-23 school year. We’re a growing community and are adding and additional Kindergarten and 3rd grade class next school year (maybe more).  Candidates must be dedicated to providing a rigorous Catholic education that helps students learn on a path and pace that serves the whole child (mind, body and spirit). Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree, and have completed courses needed to meet credential requirements. They should also have elementary classroom teaching experience. Candidates should be able to embrace the mission of St. John Vianney Parish and School which states that we are dedicated to forming joyful disciples of Jesus Christ.

Requirements/Expectations: 
  • Plan, implement, monitor, and assess a comprehensive academic program consistent with Diocesan and local site goals, philosophies and specific objectives based on the assessment of student needs.
  • Willingly and enthusiastically work with students of all abilities, and be willing to make the accommodations necessary to help them be successful.
  • Have knowledge and proficiency in integrating technology (through both the use of hardware and educational apps) to enhance instruction and motivate students.
  • Demonstrate strong and supportive classroom management skills.
  • Consistently demonstrate a positive, caring disposition with students, families, and staff in support of the school community and mission.
  • Participate in curricular and extra-curricular school programs, professional development activities, student supervision, and meetings.
  • Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Carry out all assigned faculty/staff duties in a professional manner.
Salary will be set by Diocese of San Jose teacher salary scale.
