Holy Family Camp 2020 is cancelled until next year

Diocesan Holy Family Camp

FAQ

Q: What is the purpose of Holy Family Camp?

A: To foster a profound encounter with Jesus and help the domestic church become what it is meant to be. Families take time off their hectic schedules and spend a weekend together, free from the worldly distractions. This is a time to bond, enjoy each other, share with other families, grow in their spiritual life and in their relationship with Jesus and the Church.

Q: So, is it like a retreat or will the families just have fun?

A: Families will have many opportunities to bond and have fun but also grow in their faith through the proclamation of the Word of God, the Sacraments of Reconciliation and Eucharist, and different forms of prayer such as the Holy Rosary and Adoration.

Q: Will my parish be able to apply for a grant from The Catholic Community Foundation of Santa Clara County (CFOSCC)?

A: Unfortunately, grants applications are closed for Holy Family Camp 2020. Grant applications for fiscal year 2021 are currently open and will close on March 16, 2020 at 5:00 pm.

Q: How will our families be able to afford the fee?

A: We encourage parishes to financially support one or two families. Some parishes opt to do fundraisers for events like Holy Family Camp, DYR, MSDYR, etc.

Q: When should I apply for a grant from CFOSCC?

A: ASAP since the deadline is Monday, March 16, 2020 at 5:00pm.
