Is it time to brush up your skills as a lector, or are you thinking of becoming a lector for your parish? This workshop will get you on the right track.
Diana Macalintal, Director of Worship for the Diocese of San Jose, will help you become a better lector in this free workshop. Here’s what we’ll be doing:
- Discuss why being a great lector is more than just about reading words
- Look at the characteristics of a great lector
- Learn how to prepare a reading to make it touch people’s hearts
- Practice specific skills you can work on right away to become a great lector
This workshop will include a “master class” session where several participants will practice proclaiming a reading and will receive immediate feedback, support, and help to improve their skills as a lector.
