Rev. Mr.. Victor M. Trinidad is the son of Vincent and Vivian Trinidad and has one older sister and one older brother. He was born October 16, 1986 in Santa Clara and attended St. Victor’s School, Bellarmine College Preparatory, and San Jose State University where he received a Bachelors in Computer Science. During college, he was involved with different Filipino organizations in the bay area, including Akbayan and Kawayan Folk Arts. He was inspired to consider seminary by his pastor, Msgr. Steven Perata. After a period of discerning priesthood, he decided to “try it out” and apply to the Diocese of San Jose. He was accepted under Vocation Director Fr. John Poncini and entered formation in 2010 at the Blessed Miguel Pro House for college students.
He attended St. Patrick’s Seminary & University starting 2012 and finished his theological studies at Mundelein Seminary. During that time, he was fortunate to assist at Villa Siena Senior Living Community, O’Connor Hospital, and Milpitas Correctional Facility. He served his Pastoral Year internship at St. Lucy in Campbell under the supervision of Fr. Mark Arnzen. He is also a member of the Legion of Mary and Knights of Columbus. He graduated Mundelein Seminary in May 2019. He says, “What started as a simple, unconditional yes to God has grown to an abundance of blessings for me, but not without its crosses. Thank you to my friends and family who have supported me along the way. I look forward to what God has next. As Jesus says, “No one has greater love than this, to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” (John 15:13).
