Position Description:
The St. Justin Thrift store is dedicated to forming a community which encourages hospitality and a sense of belonging, providing service and outreach to others in need, and generating a profit which will be used to meet the needs of St. Justin School.

The St. Justin Thrift Store is looking for a weekend store clerk who has a positive attitude, excellent customer service skills, and retail and/or customer service experience.

The Thrift Store Clerk is responsible for the following duties:
• Assist in creating a pleasant and hospitable work environment and maintain good customer relationships.
• Assist, as required, with store operations.
• Operates cash register and accurately records sales receipts
• Serve all customers in a courteous and efficient manner.
• Handle all donations with care and donors with respect and courtesy.
• Handle merchandise as directed
• Assist in cleaning and general maintenance of store property.
• Immediately report theft, customer complaints, injuries, and any unsafe equipment or conditions to management.
• Maintain a clean and clutter free work area.
• Be a positive role model for parent volunteers
• Other duties as may be assigned by immediate supervisor, store supervisor, assistant store supervisor, and/or administrator.
Job Requirements: (ie. education, good communication skills, evening/weekend hours, ability to lift 50 lbs.)
• Six or more months in retail and/or customer service experience.
• Experience and proficient working in a store environment (using cash register and handling money).
• Fluent in the English language, written and spoken.
• Possess good customer relation skills.
• Ability to comprehend and follow directions.
• Physically able to stand on feet for long periods.
• Able to lift 50 pounds.
• No educational prerequisite; however, must have demonstrated ability to read, comprehend, write, perform basic math skills and record information applicable to the job.
