This position requires a candidate with relevant experience and general knowledge of plumbing, electrical, mechanical and other systems.  This employee must have the ability to do simple repairs and regular maintenance. Effective interaction with vendors and the Diocese of San Jose Facilities Manager is essential.

 Along with the technical knowledge supervisory skills are required for two other employees in the department.  All of the janitorial duties and the grounds are maintained by this department.

We are looking for a successful candidate who is flexible and collaborates well with all levels of employees and management .  The ability to handle many projects simultaneously is necessary.

 Facilities Coordinator

Located in Los Altos Hills, St. Nicholas Catholic School has been educating Kindergarten thru Eighth grade students for over 60 years. St. Nicholas School is looking for a Facilities Coordinator to help manage their 18-acre campus. The ideal person should have general knowledge of building maintenance.  They need to be responsible, reliable, and have a positive attitude.  Professionalism, initiative, good communication and collaboration skills with other staff members, teachers and administrators are also required. Project management skills are recommended.  This person would report to the Principal.

Responsibilities would include:

  • Scheduling, supervising and managing all property inspections
  • Attend to all facility repairs
  • Manage property aging/replacement plan
  • Manage all capital improvement projects
  • Assist in readying the facility for special events

Hours are flexible, part-time for a 12 month period.

St. Francis of Assisi – P/T Rectory Cook St. Francis of Assisi is seeking a part-time Rectory Cook to provide culinary services to the residence of the parish rectory. Tasks include cooking, shopping and cleaning for meal service for the residents of the parish rectory 4 nights a week and occasionally for larger dinners hosted in the parish rectory. Responsibilities include cooking, planning meals, shopping, handling money for shopping purposes, serving and cleaning after service. This person will report directly to the Pastor and work with the residents of the rectory. The individual must have the ability to cook delicious nutritious meals, have a pleasing personality and enjoy working with others. Work experience in food service industry along with a High School diploma is preferred. Formal training in the food service field and/or nutrition along with dietetic training is highly desirable. A valid California driver’s license and current auto insurance are required along with the ability to pass a background check.
