Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

As we celebrate the Eucharist together in this Black History Month, the Nigerian Igbo Catholic Community of San Jose (NICCSJ) marks the completion of its 15th year since its inception (2005-2020). On behalf of the Diocese of San Jose, I heartily congratulate the Nigerian Igbo Catholic Community of San Jose for these 15 years of deepening their faith, of sharing it with their new generation of family members, and for sharing their faith and culture with the broader community! The Diocese of San Jose is blessed by the presence, faith, and culture of the Nigerian Igbo Community.

I pray that the next 15 years be marked by a further deepening of your faith, a broader sharing of your cultural and religious gifts, and that you continue to be a blessing to the broader community across the Diocese of San Jose. Be assured of my deep appreciation for your presence, faith, and culture. May the Lord continue to bless you with his love and grace.

Yours in Christ,

Most Rev. Oscar Cantu
Bishop of San Jose
