SUMMARY:Celebrating the Season of Creation
DESCRIPTION:The Season of Creation runs from September 1 – October 4\, beginning with the World Day of Prayer for the Care for Creation.  \nAs we enter this season\, Pope Leo XIV invites us “to contemplate the gift of life and to cherish the earth that sustains it.”  In his Message for the World Day of Prayer for the Care of Creation\, the Holy Father focuses on the impact of war on humanity and our common home and calls us to seek peace and healing in our world. \nThe USCCB’s Environmental Justice Program offers resources for the Season of Creation to help your community celebrate\, pray\, and act for change\, including the new Mass for the Care of Creation recently approved by the Holy See for use in English and Spanish in the United States. \nLearn more about the Season of Creation | USCCB

SUMMARY:Life and Dignity: A Catholic Social Teaching Series
DESCRIPTION:The core of our Catholic Social Teaching is Human Dignity\, which teaches that life is sacred\, the most sacred gift from God.  Life has value regardless of circumstances.  It is the Church’s mission to keep life precious and protect it from all harm and sin that might endanger it. \nIn our current modern society\, the culture of life has been transformed into a culture of death.  Life is often not seen as a value in itself\, but the value of life decreases depending on the needs of others. \nIn this talk we will be presenting on the need to hold life sacred\, especially with the dangers of modern society that include topics of Assisted Suicide\, IVF\, Abortion\, and the Death Penalty. \nPlease join us for an evening of informed awareness of our Church’s teachings.  Register here.  \n\nSeptember 10 – Dignity of Work\nNovember 19 – God’s Creation\n\n
