DESCRIPTION:“[By faith] others endured mockery\, scourging\, even chains and imprisonment. They were stoned\, sawed in two\, put to death at sword’s point … needy\, afflicted\, tormented. The world was not worthy of them … Therefore\, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses\, let us rid ourselves of every burden and sin that clings to us and persevere in running the race that lies before us while keeping our eyes fixed on Jesus\, the leader and perfecter of faith.Hebrews 11:36-38; 12:1 \n“A Cloud of Witnesses” exhibit will be held from Friday\, September 18 to Sunday\, September 20 at Our Lady of Peace Church and Shrine in Santa Clara. Having themselves run the race with perseverance\, the martyrs\, by the witness of their lives and deaths\, challenge us to live as Christians in the world today. The exhibit will have displays of various martyr-saints of the Church\, showing the authentic diversity and catholicity of the Church throughout the ages and in all places. The exhibit will be held in the first-floor classrooms of the Family Learning Center at Our Lady of Peace Church; it begins at 6pm on Friday and ends at 4pm on Sunday. \nAs a part of the exhibit we will have prayer services and speakers on Friday and Saturday evenings. On each night the prayer service is at 7pm\, followed by a lecture on Christian witnessing at 8 pm. Friday’s speaker will be Fr. Joe Kim\, Director of Vocations and Director of Evangelization for the Diocese of San Jose. Saturday’s speaker will be Fr. DESCRIPTION:On behalf of the Global Solidarity Team of the Diocese of San Jose\,   we would like to invite you to a special awards ceremony to honor the recipients of the 2015 CRS Rice Bowl Grants Program.  Please extend this special invitation to your pastors\, principals\, faculty\, staff\, and entire parish and school communities. \n CRS Rice Bowl is Catholic Relief Services’ Lenten faith-in-action program for families and faith communities.
