SUMMARY:Life and Dignity: A Catholic Social Teaching Series
DESCRIPTION:Please save the date and register to join us on Wednesday evening\, November 18\, from 7:00-8:30pm at the Diocese of San Jose Chancery for an evening of Catholic Social Teaching on the Care for Creation with Paul J. Schutz\, Ph.D.\, Professor\, Religious Studies at Santa Clara University. \nChancery -1150 N 1st Street\, San Jose\, CA 95112 \nRegister here \nChristians believe that God is the Creator of all that is. But what is the meaning of creation\, and what does it mean to call God creator\, especially in a scientific age? In a world threatened by ecological degradation\, how might we live out our responsibility to care for our common home\, as Pope Francis called us to do? Linking Scripture\, Tradition\, and Catholic Social Teaching\, this presentation will explore the meaning of creation and ways that we can live lives that promote the fullness of life for all God’s creatures. \n \n
