SUMMARY:Season of Hope Cathedral Performance Series
DESCRIPTION:…A gift from the heart of San José! \nContinuing its history of over 200 years of service in the center of San Jose\, the Cathedral Basilica of St. Joseph presents its 20th annual Season of Hope Performance Series. \nDiscover the perfect combination of dignity\, hospitality\, and concern regarding those who are re-building their lives\, as local performance groups offer their gift of talent. \nOn evenings from December 12th through the 23rd\, inside this city’s historic Cathedral\, artists from the Bay Area ranging from\, the Silicon Valley Ballet\, Celtic Harps\, to the San Jose Youth Symphony\, the Inter-faith community and students from local schools\, will help inspire over 1000 audience members. Performers will present a free 45- 60 minute performance\, starting at 7:30 PM. \nEach night a representative from the Cathedral’s Office of Social Ministry will share three minutes reflecting on its work… fostering the spirit of hope throughout the year; Monday–Friday providing food\, shelter referral\, and a free on-site Healthcare Clinic in partnership with Gardner Family Healthcare’s Homeless Project and our newest program Bridges of Hope partnering with Catholic Charities\, First Christian Church\, and the Department of Justice\, helping to rebuild lives. You our neighbors provide us with the privilege of serving those living on the margins of our society. \nDiscover San José’s historic sites and enjoy some of the best restaurants … Take a walk through Christmas in the Park\, enjoy a free concert inside the Cathedral\, and go ice-skating in the circle of palms located next to the Fairmont. \nA gift from the heart of San José\, the Cathedral is a home to everyone!
