National Migration Week 2011

“The dignity of the individual and the demands of justice require, particularly today, that economic choices do not cause disparities in wealth to increase in an excessive and morally unacceptable manner.”
— Pope Benedict XVI, Charity in Truth
(Caritas in Veritate), no. 32
Renewing Hope, Seeking Justice
National Migration Week 2011
January 2- 8
This year the theme of National Migration Week will be “Renewing Hope, Seeking Justice,” which expresses an important motivation for the Church as it works with immigrants, refugees, trafficked persons and other people on the move.
Following the lead of the Holy Father, who has chosen the theme “One Human Family” for his 2011 World Day of Migrants and Refugees message, particular attention is given to the place of families in the migration experience.
Information on National Migration Week and resources such as bulletin inserts, prayer cards, a poster, and Scriptural Rosary is avaiable online or can be ordered in bulk. These resources are in both Spanish and English.
