St. Julie’s Catholic Church to host Prayer Service for Immigration Reform

SAN JOSE, Calif. - St. Julie’s Catholic Church of San Jose, CA is hosting a mutli-faith prayer service for comprehensive immigration reform on February 26, 2010. The Catholic Campaign for Immigration Reform and People Acting in Community Together (PACT) are partnering up to put on this event.
“We want to show that there is a diverse and unified base of people that want comprehensive immigration reform to be a political national priority,” said Matthew Malone, a student member of Catholic Campaign for Immigration Reform.

Representative Zoe Lofgren, chairwoman of the Judiciary Subcommittee on Citizenship, Refugees, Immigration and Border Security; Representative Mike Honda, chair of the Asian Pacific Caucus and Bishop Patrick McGrath, along with representatives from other faiths will all be in attendance at the event.

Postcards requesting support from State representatives, will be available for attendees to fill out.
This event is free for all who want to attend, and wheelchair accessible.

St. Julie Billiart Church is located at 366 St. Julie Drive, San Jose. The event starts at 7:00 p.m.
