St. Mary Parish High School Youth Group
Inviting all high school/college students……..
Bring own water, hat, sunscreen and meet at site.
Snacks and cold drinks provided at end of hike…..
Come to one, come to all!
Tuesdays at 9am...
July 10: Christmas Hill
Uvas Parkway and Miller Avenue, Gilroy (playground side).
Meeting in first parking lot back by hillside/playground.
Look for yellow tshirts!!!
July 17: Gavilan College
Santa Teresa Blvd, Gilroy.
Drive all the way up to top, you will see parking lot E.
Parking is $1
Look for yellow shirts.
July 24: Sprig Lake
If you google map it, it takes you somewhere else!!!!
It is actually on Hecker pass in Gilroy, 152, going towards Watsonville (technically inside the Mt. Madonna County Park but at the bottom of the hill). You will see it on the right before you really start going up on Blackhawk Canyon Road (google that road instead).
Look for the yellow shirts!!
July 31: Mount Madonna
Heckerpass all the way to top of hill, between Gilroy and Watsonville, county park is on Pole line Road. Drive in park and meet near the Amphitheater. It is $6 for day use (county park) so please consider carpooling. We will be hiking the Miller Loop and Tanoak trails.
Look for the yellow shirts!!
August 7: Harvey Bear
101 to San Martin Avenue, in San Martin. Go East on San Martin (that is right if coming from Gilroy, left if coming from San Jose)….. go all the way past Foothill Ave. until you see the entrance on left. We will be hiking the Harvey Bear trail. Parking is free here.
Look for yellow shirts!!!!!
August 14: Anderson Lake
101 to Cochrane Ave. in Morgan Hill. Drive all the way east until you see park on left. Meet at Toyon parking lot, it is right before driving up to dam on left. We will meet in this parking lot, look for yellow shirts!!!! Technically, it is $6 for day use, but I have been unable to find a place to pay. We will be hiking up the dam face, then over to the lake and back down Serpentine trail.
