Labor in the Pulpit
For over a decade, the Diocese of San Jose has participated in Labor in the Pulpit, reaching thousands of Catholics throughout the Diocese. This annual program is co-sponsored by the Interfaith Council on Economics and Justice and the South Bay AFL-CIO Labor Council.
Labor in the Pulpit is deeply rooted in Catholic Social Teaching and the message is sorely needed in these economic times.
A packet of materials is provided from the Interfaith Council with a letter of support from Monsignor Francis V. Cilia, Vicar General. The Interfaith Council can also provide speakers from the labor movement or clergy from the interfaith community to lift up the needs and struggles of workers.
