Guidelines for Proposals for Projects Seeking Grants from Catholic Communication Campaign
Deadline February 15, 2005
The Catholic Communication Campaign of the Catholic Church in the United States has an annual collection in all parishes which provides for national and local grants for communications projects. The Diocese of San Jose is announcing guidelines for project proposals which may be submitted to the diocesan CCC committee, not to exceed $10,000 and subject to evaluation by the committee. Proposals must demonstrate alignment with the diocesan pastoral plan, especially the three critical pastoral issues: youth/young adults, lay leadership, and the social justice teaching of the Church. Inter-parish collaboration will be considered a strong criterion as will “substance” (content, message) over “form.” CCC funds will not be allocated for project staffing or equipment. Proposals must demonstrate matching funds. Funding will be on a per year basis. Proposals must demonstrate how the project will be funded in the future, and details of costs must be clear. Payments will be made after submission of invoices for work/services performed. Grantees must agree to periodic review of the progress of their projects, providing accountability, and agree to help promote the Catholic Communication Campaign. Deadline for submitting proposals will be February 15, 2005.
