The Office for the Protection of Children and Vulnerable Adults is committed to educating, training, and screening all those who have regular access to children, youth and vulnerable adults within our Diocese of San Jose for the purpose of preventing harm.
 
The Victim Assistance Coordinator will be responsible for responding to all allegations of abuse within 24 hours or less and completing all new intake forms and assisting victims through all steps of the reporting process. The part time Victim Assistant Coordinator will work four (4) hours a week.
 
Other responsibilities:
Responsible for managing and updating all client data, case files, and therapist progress notes. Establish and coordinate a victim support group in each Deanery within the Diocese of San Jose.
Responsible for reaching out to all past, current, and future victims of abuse on a regular, ongoing basis and providing pastoral care as necessary.
Remain “on-call” to conduct additional “Safe Environment” training of adults (volunteers, parents, staff) and minors (of various ages) as needed.
Must have experience working with sexual abuse victims.  
Desire to work with victims of abuse.
Additional duties as requested by Supervisor.
Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.
